This is Whiney. He was named Hobbs originally so we would have had a Calvin and Hobbs, but his personality showed his name should be Whiney. He is an extremely vocal cat. He whines whenever he wants something. A lot of the time he whines while he's getting what he wants. He has really long Fu Manchu whiskers.
Whiney, like Ferdi, is very allergic to his vaccines. Whiney and Ferdi both will only be getting Rabies vaccines from now on. Their symptoms included difficulty breathing and it really suppressed their immune systems. Whiney caught Bortadella after his this year (2000). That led to a reaction to the antibiotic. He is fine now, but no more vaccines for him.
Whiney is a sweet boy who really enjoys loving. He loves to lie on top of me when I'm reading so I'll rub his throat. If I'm doing it right, he'll reward me with drops (kitty drool). If I'm not rubbing where he wants, he politely bites my hand. He'll keep biting me until I get the hint and pet him where he wants to be petted. Whiney also has a really loud purr.
Whiney is an all around good guy. He gets along with all the other cats and humans. He has a great personality and seems to have a good understanding of what is going on within his environment. Just don't try to give him pills. He was really assertive about not taking pills and he won. When he was so sick and had to be taken to the vet repeatedly, he just let us come catch him to put him in the carrier. He was never worried that we were going to do anything bad to him. He is the only cat I've ever seen that would rather go to the vet and get a shot than be pilled.
Whiney is the most trusting of the baby boys. He has absolute faith that we would never harm him. Of course, he's right!
