This is Wee Willy who is 4 years old. Of course, nothing is known about his history. He is now in good shape and eating like a horse. He was about 3 weeks when he was dumped at my vet's.
The woman from the vet's that gave me Pooka, called and said she had the perfect kitten for me. The vet and this woman had the kitten for about a week before I got it. When I got him, he was already eating canned food. The woman was right, this was the perfect kitten! I'll never understand how animals can be so trusting after a human treats them badly!
This kitty is so full of life. It is also full of spice and vinegar. As soon as he meets one of my other cats, the first thing he does is smack the other cat in the face. Ferdi was scared to death for days, but is starting to play a little with the kitten. He knows he can't be rough. That is a little hard for a cat that weighs in at 18 lbs versus a kitten that might weigh 6 oz. There is white hair everywhere from the kitten pulling out Ferdi's hair. Ferdi is such a sweet giant, he just takes it all in stride.
As soon as the kitten saw Weezer, he was sure she was his lost Mother. After several days, she was cleaning him and playing with him. It is wonderful to see the transition in Weezer. She seems her old self again.
Wee Willy is wild like all young cats are. He is not very lovable, but he is still so busy checking everything out and now he has Sammy to play with!! He does want loving, only just a little bit and only when he asks. Otherwise, if you pick him up, he croaks at you. He has just discovered catnip!!! Now the fun will really begin.
8/30 Willy has been neutered and chipped. He came through it fine. A little goofy from the medicines. He is now 6 months old and weighs 7.4 lbs. My friend was right, he is PERFECT. Willy really lets me know that I'm his human.
11/23/00 Willy continues to be the perfect cat. I'm beginning to wonder if he'll ever slow down. Maybe I should have named him Wild Willy. He reminds me more and more of Johnny, the cat that taught me love for cats.
06/02 Willy is still wild. Sammy is his best play buddy. They go running through the house for hours on end. It is a really good thing that they have each other!! Willy is still very full of personality and curiosity. I never know where he'll turn up next. No matter what he does, when he turns around and gives me his innocent look, all I can do is laugh!!
