MEGA SITES
Where I go when I'm not sure where else to go. Usually these sites will have what I want so it keeps me from going through a search engine.
These are shelters & charities I support. Some are national and some are local. They are a good resource for information and help about pets.
My all time favorite charity. I sponsor 3 cats here. Every 3 months I get pictures and a real personalized letter telling me what is going on at the shelter and with my sponsored cats.
An individual that sells wonderful, handmade candles to support her saves and rescues.
Low cost spay/neuter certificates available
Everything you ever wanted to know about feral cats, from starting a program, catching a feral cat, to how to manage a feral colony
Started the no kill movement in America. A wonderful resource. They even give classes on how to start your own shelter. Check this site out. See how much cat food and litter they go through in a month. It is unbelieveable! They have rabbits, birds, horses, dogs, and of course cats.
A lot of the time, money is not what is needed to help. Read about this horrible injustice. Imagine if it were one of your pets. The power of the pen is very mighty. Write a few letters and make a BIG difference!
This above group was instrumental in getting trap, neuter, and release instituted for the HUGE amount of feral cats in Israel. Originally, the country was going to poison thousands of cats instead of managing the colonies. Even if you can't send money, send them an email and show your support. Let them know the world knows the good they are doing! I just came from Israel (8/20). Every where you drive you see pets hit by the side of the road. Every where you go you see huge amounts of stray cats. It is very sad, but lets me see the progress we've made in America.
Cooking with Catitude - online cookbook for humans and cats (incuding kitten glob) available in exchange for donation (amount up to you). Nice
LEICASTER ANIMAL AID CENTRE this group helps to find homes for unwanted animals. They are in the process of trying to build their own dedicated animal shelters. One for dogs and one for cats. Show them some support, let them know you care!
NASHVILLE PET FINDERS site for Nashville citizens to post a found or lost pet. You can do a cross reference by several traits to help with the search. There are also local listings of pet related services.
this is a great group of people. When I first rescued Binky, I posted to a newsgroup and these people responded. They believe we have a responsibility to animals. They are a no-kill shelter. Read their philiosphy. This group is well worth supporting.
this is a fairly new group that sees a problem and is doing everything they can to help. Please check out their site. They are an impressive group.
this site offers a database for lost, found, wanted, and abused animals throughout the United States.
The above group works across the U.S. to defend all animals rights, everything from puppy mills, lab testing, companion animal rights, and wild animals rights.
For those that don't know, this group has calmed down somewhat about private ownership of animals. This group has been instrumental in winning many animal rights battles. I may not agree with everything they do, but they have gotten some fantastic results on issues I do care about. They also have great resources on their site.

The putting to death of healthy animals speaks so badly of us. Go to this site (click on banner) to learn more about this facility in New York. Very well done and informative.
Read about this amazing dog and it's owner. You could help here, if you just bought his book for yourself and as a present for others. This is such a heartwarming story. Just click on the banner to go to the site.
This page has information about adoptable cats at Kings Highway Cat Rescue. The approach is unique and compelling. Please click on the banner and check out this site.
The site has pictures of some of the over 200 cats available for adoption. If you buy your checks through them, they will get the net proceeds.
This no-kill, non-profit, all volunteer shelter places about 600 cats a year. Need I say more? They have a huge storefront that when you use, they automatically get a percentage of the sales. It DOES NOT increase your cost.
This site has a page that pays it if you just click on a link. You can help them and it doesn't cost you anything but a little time. A donation would be great too, of course!!
