BINKY & FIV
It used to be that having a cat diagnosed FIV+ was a death sentence. Not any more. There are treatment options available. There is no cure, yet. Many FIV+ cats are asymptomatic for years. Many live to old age. There is no way to tell which way a FIV+ cat will be symptomatically.  I've never regretted saving Binky, my FIV+ stray I rescued. This page is dedicated to him and his fight to survive. He has settled right in with us. You can tell he really didn't like being on the outside to fend for himself, but prefers the pampered life of an inside cat. You would think he was a healthy 2 year old. Some people would mix the FIV+ with the FIV-. Binky is a biter, so that is not an option. If you find yourself with a FIV+ cat, please explore all the avenues available to you and your cat. There are various views reflected in these links.

This page is designed to give you the information that is out on the web so you can make an informed decision. The first place I would go is to EGROUPS and sign up for the FivCats list. This is a group of caring owners of FIV+ cats. They have plenty of hands on experience.
